    Alpine Bypassed!, October 3, 2012

I purchased a new Alpine IVE-W535HD and installed it in my car, but did not want to hack at my car’s wiring (parking brake, foot brake) to watch DVDs so I simply bundled up the wires and didn’t hook them up. I found that my headunit does not let the user into the settings menu if the parking brake is not engaged… so I bought this MicroBypass and it solved my problem!

I highly recommend this item to anyone with an Alpine stereo looking to circumvent the braking procedure to gain access to more features!

I read other reviews before I purchased and felt comfortable buying the item. Simple directions and it worked first try. So far no issues and I am very pleased. May be other, cheaper ways to bypass but it was very much worth the $20 to me!

Works as intended, easier than using the PAC for a bypass. As a car audio isntaller, I have used different tricks for video bypasses. This is by far the cleanest of them.
